Fine antique signed letter in Russian from Princess Nikita Romanov nee Countess Maria Vorontsova-Dashkova (1903-1997), she married Prince Nikita Alexandrovich, son of Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna. She was well known by White Russians in exile for her elegance and grace, the Princess was a daughter of Count Hilarion Vorontsov Illarionovich-Dashkov and his first wife, Irina, born Narishkina. Maria was a direct descendant of several Russian noble families.

The letter is dated Wilderness House (H.C.P. stands for Hampton Court Palace home of Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna) 15 S. 49 and is addressed to her son Prince Alexander Nikitich (1929-2002), who is at Menton in France. Charming letter in which she discusses a visit from Mother Tamara, from the Mount of olives Convent in Jerusalem, daughter of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich to Grand Duchess Xenia and of mother Martha whose prophecies state that there will be a rebirth of Russia. There is a translation in the final image.
