Fine and rare antique imperial Russian menu dated 10th August 1913, embossed with the rarely used coat-of-arms of the imperial family, which adorned menus used by Grand Duke Nicholas Nicolaevich (1856-1929) and his wife Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna nee Princess of Montenegro (1867-1935), beautifully embossed with the imperial Russian coat of arms, signed in pencil by the Grand Duke in the lower left hand corner and also signed by the Grand Duchess in the upper right hand corner. She was famous for introducing Rasputin to the imperial family. From the collection of Colonel Jean Dumezil (1857-1929).
