Fine antique signed letter from Princess Nikita Romanov nee Countess Maria Vorontsova-Dashkova (1903-1997), wife of Prince Nikita Alexandrovich Romanov, son of Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich and his wife Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovich. The letter is dated simply as 19th August but circa 1930s and is written in Russian to her son Prince Alexander Nikitich (1929-2002). The letter is exceptionally interesting as she discusses not only Grand Duchess Xenia (Amama) but also the infamous Mother Martha who was the Grand Duchess's companion for many years who jealously guarded the Grand Duchess and who had access to her. There is a translation in the final image.
