Fine antique programme issued by the Opera de Monte Carlo in honour of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, produced for the Monaco National Day celebrations dated 19th November 1957. Printed on thick handmade paper with the gold embossed coat of arms of the Grimaldi family, red and white cord binding and heraldic decoration. The programme was for a gala ballet and operatic performance including works such as Mephistopheles Valse and Romeo and Juliet, with choreography by Serge Lifar and George Skibine and performances by leading etoiles of the Paris Opera Ballet. Printed in a limited edition of 500 this being number 279. From the collection of Count Fernand Caillard d'Aillieres (1916-1985) and his wife, he was Chef de Protocol at the French Embassy
