Fine antique album page with a photo of 'Neddy' the donkey at Osborne operating a wheel or pump mechanism a familiar sight at Osborne, dated 16th January 1896, signed by Dame Georgiana Buller (1884-1953), daughter of General Sir Redvers Henry Buller recipient of the Victoria Cross, she opened the first school dedicated to occupational therapy and was a recipient of the Royal Red Cross, also signed by 
the Honourable Victoria Eugenie Bigge (born 1881), she married Captain Henry Robert Augustus Adeane. She was the mother of Michael Adeane, Baron Adeane, Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II from 1953 to 1972.

Provenance - Arthur Bigge, 1st Baron Stamfordham (1849-1931), and his daughter Margaret nicknamed Daisy.

Stamfordham was a British Army officer and courtier. He was Private Secretary to Queen Victoria during the last few years of her reign, King Edward VII and to King George V during most of his reign. He was the maternal grandfather of Lord Adeane, Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II from 1953 to 1972.
