Fine antique royal menu embossed in gold with 'M' surmounted by a crown for Princess Margaret (her early cypher), on the reverse is Princess Margaret's handwritten doodles of the game 'Hangman', and the words 'BEAVER' and BREAD' a popular dinner party game favoured by the Princess, dated 1st June 1957 when she was at the. pinnacle of her 'young society queen' phase with the 'Margaret Set'. Hosted by John Spencer-Churchill, 10th Duke of Marlborough - she was a regular guest at Blenheim Palace in the 1950s often between Ascot and the social season events. Annotated on the reverse "Drawn by HRH Princess Margaret during dinner at Blenheim June 1st 1957"
