Fine and heavy antique photographic album dedicated to the Opening of the Festival of Britain, including an invitation and the Order of Service for the Service of Dedication at St Paul's Cathedral, dated 3rd May 1951, as well as tickets and an invitation to the Festival on the occasion of the first visit of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip dated 4th May 1951. There are 67 photos of the royals at the exhibition as well as an additional eight photos of the royal family in leisurely surroundings. Also included is an excellent and possibly unpublished photo of Sier Winston Churchill at the Exhibition. From the collection of Miss D. Middleburgh.
