Fine antique signed letter from the long time mistress of King Edward VII Frances Evelyn 'Daisy' Greville, Countess of Warwick 1861-1938), British socialite and philanthropist - she was well known for her socialist views and this letter explains exactly what her position upon being asked to attend the Grand Opening of the International Forum because it is "a place where anti-socialist conventions, Capital Labour arbitration conferences will be held...as a Social Democrat my lectures could have interest for those organising the forum...what is left to me of health & strength is and will be always given to the cause that seeks to abolish the existing economic & social conditions of the world"
