Very fine and fascinating copy of No.13 Parliamentary 'Interim Report of the Committee to Collect Information on Russia', published by H.M. Stationery Office in 1920. It was set up to investigate the internal conditions in Russia following the Russian Revolution. In the report the emphasis is on the lack of food and starvation levels since Bolshevik takeover. In particular the Soviets come under fire for the arrest of British subjects, some of whom had been arrested in Siberia having been engineers for Kolchak's railways.Conditions in prisons is reported by British volunteers who had gone out on charitable missions to help. There are accounts of the tragic conditions of these prisons and the state of mental health as a result of imprisonment in such awful conditions. An Appendix at the end is the translation of the 'Bulletin of Workers' & Peasants' Control'  from April 1920 regarding the investigation it made into all prisons and the number of inmates and prison time. 23 pages.
