Fine antique signed postcard in Russian from Prince Nikita Alexandrovich Romanov (1900-1974), dated 13/26 VIII 49, addressed to his son Prince Alexander Nikitich (1929-2002), who is at the Russian Camp Vitiaz

"My dear Alexander, I haven’t written in a long time. Now there is a quiet moment — and I'm lying down too. We’ve had wonderful weather — the sun is shining. I’m not going anywhere, just lying in the garden like a lazy animal. Haven’t even visited Nina, who lives just across from us. Lately I’ve been busy sending vegetables to London — it’s going well.

I'm waiting for a letter and maybe a photo — I haven’t seen your dear faces in a long time. Today I sent a big parcel — 8 lbs — bought in Dorking: plums and beans — the whole thing cost 4½ shillings. We’re all doing fine. All the best to you. I send you a kiss, Papa
