Fine antique bronze Vindobona Capta Anno MDCCCV medal to commemorate the capture of Vienna in 1805 by Napoleon during the War of the Third Coalition, a major turning point in the campaign preceding the Battle of Austerlitz, likely by the Paris Mint. It refers to Napoleon as Emperor and King of Italy and the reverse shows a seated allegorical figure in mourning beside a trophy and shield.
