Fine antique handwritten note on an envelope embossed on the back with the royal arms for Balmoral from Hugh van Cutsem (1941-2013), former Life Guards officer, landowner and one of King Charles's closest lifelong friends; they became friends while Charles was at Cambridge and were regular shooting and holiday companions. Charles and Diana spent their wedding night at the van Cutsems' Norfolk homes:
