Fine antique pair of imperial German wine glasses with mixed twist stem, beautifully hand enamelled in gold Great Imperial Arms of Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, possibly by Moser - Given as a gift from Kaiser Wilhelm II upon his visit to Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale (1857-1944), once part of a much larger suite of glasses. Kaiser Wilhelm visited the Earl on two separate occasions for grouse shooting in 1895 and 1902 and conferred upon him the Order of the Prussian Crown, the Earl was also known to visit the Kaiser in Germany.
