Fine antique invitation from Sir Philip Mitchell (1890-1964), Governor of Kenya to have the honour of meeting Princess Elizabeth later Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at a Garden Party hosted by the Governor and his wife at Government House in Nairobi, dated 1st February 1952, embossed in gold with the royal arms. This is the tour that the young princess unexpectedly became Queen upon the death of King George VI
