Fine antique group of original material relating to Queen Elizabeth II Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour), held on Horse Guards Parade on 15th June 1991. Comprising the official illustrated Trooping the Colour Programme, an original numbered spectator ticket for Stand F, Block 3, Row H, Seat 26; and a Restricted Guards Deo Order, issued two days following the event by Lieutenant-Colonel C.M. Bremner, Welsh Guards, Commanding Guards Depot. Of particular interest the Depot Order reproduces a personal message of appreciation from Queen Elizabeth, in which she states that she "took much pleasure in the excellence of today's Parade" and asks that her gratitude be conveyed to the Escort for the Colour, the Sovereign's Escort, the King's Troop, Massed Bands and street liners for their Birthday Tribute. The Order also records preparations for a major flypast of more than 75 aircraft over central London on 21st June.
