Fine antique invitation beautifully embossed with ERII surmounted by a crown to a Reception at King's House in Jamaica hosted by the Governor in honour of the visit of the Queen and Prince Philip during their Royal Commonwealth Tour 1953 - 1954 undertaken by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip following her Coronation, accompanied by the original paperwork including car labels. From the collection of Mr. D. M. V. Parkinson, Senior Second Engineer, S.S. "Gothic". Later in 1954 he was appointed a Member of the Victorian Order.
