Fine antique signed letter from Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna of Russia (1875-1960), sister of Tsar Nicholas II, addressed to her beloved tutor Ferdinand Thormeyer (1858-1944), dated Gatchina 2nd July 1888, written in French, embossed with KA surmounted by a gold crown, offering her apologies for not writing sooner, but she has been very busy and "not to be cross!!!" "We are having great fun here Papa has given me permission to go for a walk-on the islands and pretty woods" and mentioning her time with her brother Misha as well as her other tutor Mr Heath who sends his regards
